Lingwall-Swanson
A pretty home wedding was performed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O.T. (Oscar) Swanson on Wednesday evening of last week, August 16th (1933), Mr. Swanson's sister, Miss Leona Swanson, being united in marriage to William Lingwall. The wedding service was performed by Rev. Martin Lingwall, pastor of the Harcourt Lutheran church, and a brother of the groom, in the presence of thirty-five immediate relatives and intimate friends. Lohengrin's Wedding March was played by the brides's cousin, Mrs. Emory Gustafson, and preceding the ceremony, Miss Arlene Swanson, a niece of the bride sang "I Love You Truly". The bride was attired in a dress of biege crepe, and carried an arm bouquet. Following the wedding service, Miss Hannah Gustafson, Mrs. C.H. Swanson, and Mrs. J.W. Swanson, served a delicious lunch, and the bride's pastor, Rev. Lowell B. Swan, presided over a happy after dinner program of music and toasts, enjoyed by all. Out of town guests were the parents (Frank and Selma Lingwall), a brother, and two sisters of the groom, all of Hershey, Nebraska. The bride is a daughter of C.A.(Charles August) Swanson of Harcourt, popular with all who know her, and for a number of years has been the courteous assistant in the Harcourt post office. She has been prominent in church activities and church organizations. Mr. Lingwall is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lingwall of Hershey, Nebraska, and operates the Lingwall Service Station at Harcourt. The newly wedded couple left on a fine wedding trip to the lakes, and will be at home to their many friends in Harcourt.
