From the Mineral Co., West Virginia 1850 census.

17 1473 1473 Flood Frederick 18 M Farmer VA
18 1473 1473 Flood David 16 M Farmer VA
19 1473 1473 Flood Benjamin 14 M VA
20 1473 1473 Flood George 12 M VA
21 1473 1473 Flood William 10 M VA
22 1473 1473 Flood Joseph 8 M VA
23 1473 1473 Flood Caroline 6 F VA

As you can see, this is all one family. Father and children. Apparently, the mother was deceased. If you check the Washington County 1860 and 1870 census, you will find some of Frederick's brothers living near him.

I am not related to this family and I have no further information.
