I am trying to locate information on Dr. Solomon (Soloman) Parker. I have a 1860 Census with him and his daughter in Washington Twp. I also have this exerpt from the Ottumwa newpaper:

"Lizzie" Parker was the daughter of Dr. Solomon Parker. She moved to Old
Ashland, Wapello Co., IA with her parents about the year of 1856, settling in
Washington Twp. near Old Ashland. Married Oct 1861. The family lived on a farm
near Drakesville, IA for some years after their marriage and moved to Ottumwa
in 1882. She was a devoted spiritualist and
attended Mississippi Valley Spiritualist's Assn meetings. "Lizzie" and her
sister-in-law, Mary Millisack McCarroll, worked and served in the Wapello Co.
Women Suffrage Society in the 1880's or 90's. She died at the home of her
daughter at 715 West 4th St., Ottumwa, IA., age 71. She never saw her grandson,
Thomas James Millisack. One of her granddaughters, Elizabeth Millisack, was 7
years old when 'Lizzie" Millisack died. It was she who gave that granddaughter
a middle name of "Parker". Funeral of Elizabeth Jane (Parker) Millisack was
conducted by Dr. Julian P. Johnson of Iowa City, Ia (Spiritualist). Pall
bearers: Major A.H. Hamilton; R.M.Asbury; R. Heflin; D.W.Emery; Ira Phillips
and D.J. Boullon. Source: obit. from Ottumwa, IA newspaper.

I can find no other information on Dr. Parker. If anyone else has any information please e-mail me at amilu.inny@gmail.com make sure you put PARKER in the subject or I might toss it with the spam.

Thank you in advance. Julie
