Rural Wapello Co. IA. School Records-1880

My grandmother, Clara V. Bailey Whitney taught school in or around Wapello County IA. in the 1880's prior to her 1888 marriage. I have checked with the UNI archives in Cedar Falls: they have no records or who taught in the Wapello Co. early schools. My grandmother was the daughter of Howard and Amanda Bailey and lived in Agency, so I feel she most likely taught in that area. If anyone would ever be fortunate to come across any of the Old, Old teacher records from that area, I would appreciate looking at them etc. JoAnn Vestal
