I HAVE SOLVED THE MYSTERY! HERE'S LEON'S OBIT:
DAVENPORT MORNING DEMOCRAT JULY 12 1959 P 6B
"LEON TYSON
Leon Tyson, 80, of 513 W 13th St, Davenport died at 12:34 a.m. Saturday in Mercy Hospital.
Born in Fillmore County, Minn., he married Mary Louis Adler June 29, 1907. She preceded him in death.
He was a retired employee of the Rock Island Arsenal.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Wenona Williams, Lawndale, Calif. and a nephew, Howard of Oswego, Calif.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Runge Chapel. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery."
IT'S INTERESTING HOW HIS 2D WIFE, MY PGGM, ELIZA BURTLOW CONGER SKINNER, ISN'T MENTIONED! They parted sometime in the late '40 for she died in 1949 in her daughter Nellie's home in Davenport.
