James & Elizabeth Spears

I would like any information about he parents of James H. b. abt 1849 d. 1939 and Elizabeth Downs Spears b. abt 1854 d. unk. James is buried I believe in Ottumwa Cemetery (according to WPA records).

Actually, ANY info at all about his past would be appreciated. He was born in Scotland came to PA when he was 17. He married Elizabeth there, and moved Wapello Co. abt 1874. He was a coal miner and other than census, records are hard to locate. They lived in mining towns. They had 1 daughter Janet that was born in 1879 in PA that is not on any census after 1880.

There are 2 more James Spears in the area. They are at Shaul Cem. They are his son and grandson.
