Services For Mrs. Johnston

STOCKPORT - Funeral services for Mrs. Connie E. Johnston of Fort Dodge, former Stockport and Fairfield resident were held Tuesday, Sept. 14 in Bruce Memorial Chapel with Dr. J.A. Leatherman, pastor of First United Methodist officiating. Burial was in Elgin.

Mrs. Johnston died Sept. 11 at Trinity Regional Hospital where she had been admitted a short time earlier.

Mrs. Johnston, 83, the former Connie Bumhart, was born Dec. 4, 1892 in Iowa and married Harley E. Steele, who died in 1945. In 1957 she married William F. Johnston. He died in 195.

Mrs. Johnston was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Priscilla Circle and Bon Ami Rebekah Lodge, Fort Dodge.

Surviving are three children, Robert W. Steele of Fort Dodge and Mrs. J.F. Buck of Novi, Mich...; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hazel West of Dubuque and a brother, Harold Bumhart of San Diego, Calif.

Also surviving is one step-daughter, Mrs. Robert Brown of Stockport; five step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
