Herman Obern "Hod" Augspurger, 89, of Pulaski died at 3:44 p.m. August 22, 1991, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.
He was born Sept. 8, 1901, in Pulaski to John and Laura Stutzman Augspurger. He married Lorna Tade in 1925. She died in 1940. He married Lois Tade, April 16, 1943, in Arlington, Va.
He was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of Pulaski United Methodist Church, past board member of Pulaski schools and served as director of the Pulaski Municipal Band. He was a Prairie Township trustee for several years and had lived in Davis County his entire life.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Margaret Miller of Tripoli and Debbie Palko of Valparaiso, Ill.; two sons, Felix of Des Moines and Rev. John of Iowa Falls; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Russell Clayton of Newton, who was reared in the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Schuyler; two sisters, Alma Clayton and Eunice Augspurger.
The service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 1991 at Pulaski United Methodist Church, the Rev. Richard Iles and Kramer Smith officiating. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery.
