Maurice A. Crist

Maurice A. Crist, 65, of Peru, Iowa, formerly of Douds, died Jan. 1, 1990 in Mercy Hosptial(err), Des Moines. He was the son of Edgar B. and Martha Crist, graduated from Douds High School and had farmed near Fairfield and Moravia and had operated a nursing home in Oskaloosa. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine, sons, Ray, Minnetonka, Mn, Joe, Florissant, Mo. and daughters, Carol Gleason, Oskaloosa; Jane Williams, Des Moines, and Karen Glandon, Bremerton, WA, brothers, George of Letts, Iowa, Melvin of Douds and Donna, Texas, and Edgar, Cuba, Mo. and sisters, Edna Fowler, Council Bluffs and Alice Cieslak, Des Moines, IL.

He was preceded in death by a son, Maurice, Jr., three brothers, Robert, Jaye and William and two sisters, May Ludolph and Martha Johnson.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 5, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the United Methodist Church in Peru, Iowa. Burial was in the Peru Cemetery.
