Cleo E. Watson, 86, of Stockport died at 7:30 a.m. June 10, 1990, at the Parkview Care Center in Fairfield
He was born Oct. 9, 1903, in Van Buren County to Elmer Elsworth and Martha Ann Brown Watson. He married Mamie Anna Wilson on August 13, 1922, in Stockport. She died June 11, 1986.
He was a farmer in Cedar and Union townships until retirement and was a member of the Big Cedar Christian Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Helen Syfert of Hillsboro, Iowa and Eileen Harper of Fairfield; two sons, Virgil and Melvin, both of Stockport; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Ruby Davis of Hillsboro, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray and a grandson, Brad Watson.
The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 1990 at the Stockport Christian Church in Stockport, Rev. Ellis Beeman officiating. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport.
Memorials may be made to the Stockport Christian Church.
