Losing you cruelly tore my world apart,
I never believed I'd survive this broken heart.
My precious Miss Kelli it's been a year,
Each day without you marked with a tear.
The days without you pass ever so slow,
The sweet memories often have been my foe.
They all said passing time nearly always heals,
I guess they didn't know the loneliness a mother feels.
Your family & friends' love has been true,
They still are painfully missing you.
My best little friend how I still miss you so,
and still don't understand why God told you "Let's go."
How could He need you more than I?
I guess I haven't the right to ask why.
You made this world a better place,
But how you left was a social disgrace.
I know my life will never be the same,
uncertain of life, death is an awesome game.
Each night Jess prays for God to give you a hug & a kiss,
At least you're in His paradise where nothing's amiss.
You taught our family with your loving touch,
Oh how we miss you, so very touch!
The 16 years with you weren't nearly enough,
Living without you is going to be tough.
I still get mad you left me this way,
but because of Jesus I'll see you one day.
For now sweet daughter I must let you go,
In childlike trust I'll see you I know.
While we're apart, for you I'll be strong,
Your legacy in the children truly lives on.
Your eyes and your smile I'll never forget,
You're the most beautiful person I ever met.
