I am searching for the burial site of Julia Jennette Wilder Marken Crouch
Nettie Wilder Marken Crouch was born in Clayton County about 1873 to William
and Sopha Wilder.
She was in Louisiana in 1891 in the Jennings, La. area because I have a copy of
the wedding invitation to JE Marken, which was to occur at the home of William
Wilder (her Father). She had a baby son on April 12, 1892, George Adrian
Marken, my Grandfather on my mother's side of the family.I do not know what happened to JE Marken after the birth of George A. Marken.
George apparently knew very little about his mother and even less about his
father, JE Marken. She is listed in the 1900 Federal Census of Calcasieu Parish Louisiana married
to Montgomery Crouch. Also listed is two of her daughters, Viola and Gertrude
Crouch. From other genealogical sources, Ancestry.com, she was deceased in 1912, having
died in Iowa. Her husband, Montgomery Crouch was living in Los Angeles, Ca.
and died in 1939.She appaently left her son, George A. Marken, to be raised by her Father,
William Wilder in Jennings. La.Walter Hundley, Jr.
