It looks like the Ronnie Blong that you think died in Iowa is not your cousin. You posted to Findagrave.com the following:

Ronald E. "Ronny" Blong
Born: Oct. 17, 1947 - Philadelphia
Death: Dec. 1, 1985 - Iowa City

The Ronald E. Blong who died on December 1, 1985 was born in Mason City, Iowa to Marcus and Marcella Hayek Blong. He had three brothers, Robert, Mark and David and four sisters, Diana, Gloria, Debbie and Patti.
