I was adopted by Walter E. and Bertha B. Nordell of Des Moines, IA, around August, 1940.

My birth father was Edward P. Conningham of Des Moines, and my birrth mother was Dorothy Thomas of Coon Rapids, IA.

Where can I get documentation that Edward P. Cunningham was, in fact, my birth father? I need to establish this link to join the Sons of the American Revolution.
