Mrs. C.B. Wilson, Former Toledo Girl, Died Tuesday

Toledo friends received with sorrow, Tuesday, the information that Mrs. C.B. Wilson, formerly Miss Hazel Amidon, of Toledo, had passed away that day in Chicago, following an operation last Wednesday. Mrs. Wilson was the eldest daughter of Mrs. H.N. Amidon of this city, and Mrs. Amidon was in Chicago at the time of her death. She went Friday afternoon, accompanied by another daughter, Miss Hester, who returned home Monday morning with the report that her sister was much improved. The funeral services and burial will take place in Chicago, Friday. The four Amidon children who are at home, Misses Hester, Harriette and Henrietta, and Horace, left Tuesday evening, called by their sister's death.

Hazel Amidon was born in Toledo February 2, 1891. She was educated in the Toledo public schools, from which she graduated in 1910. Following graduation, she taught for seven years in the county's rural schools, and also in the public schools at Clutier and Keystone. Miss Amidon was married on June 7, 1917, to Clarence B. Wilson, of Chicago. To this union was born one son, Clarence, Jr., and a daughter, who died in infancy. Mrs. Wilson has resided in Chicago since her marriage. Her health had been failing for several months, and about a month ago she was taken seriously ill. She was taken to the hospital immediately, but an operation proved unsuccessful. She passed away March 25. She was a member of the Toledo United Brethren church. Besides her many friends, Mrs. Wilson leaves to mourn their loss her husband, Clarence B. Wilson, and six-year old son, Clarence Jr., her mother, Mrs. Hattie Amidon; four brothers, Harry, Ida Grove; Herbert, Donahue; Hollis, Fort Washington, Maryland; Horace, Toledo; and four sisters, Helene, Chicago; Hester, Harriette and Henriette, Toledo. Burial was in Mt. Olive cemetery, Chicago. Old friends of the deceased who were present at the funeral services were Miss Isabelle Fullerton, of Marion, and Ray Salzman, of Chicago.
