Immigrant from Norway

JOHNSON, GULLIKSON, ELLEVSETH

I am looking for information on a Gullik Ellevseth (born in Surnadal, Norway 1820) who emigrated in 1866. He left Bergan aboard the Adler on May 26, 1866 and arrived in Quebec on July 2. He had his family with him: his wife, Kari, born in ca.1817 and children:John, born in 1843; Anne, born in 1849; a second Anne, born in 1853; Ola born in 1856; and Eli, born in 1860. We find them in LaFayette, Story County, Iowa in the 1880 US Census. Although they were listed as Elleseth on the shipslist, in the 1880 census they have the last name JOHNSON. I am very interested in any information you may find about any of these family members.
