Ames/Story Co poor farm

I found Joseph Loyd on the 1880 ames 1880 census, age 38, should have been 40. Born Jasper Co Ill..
Listed his parents being born in wrong states. He is listed as insane so maybe that explains the wrong information. He is my fathers uncle, he was in the Civil War but I can find no info there. He
was last on the 1870 Mo census, Gentry Co, Cooper township, his mother Elizabeth (who is buried in Glenwood 1892)was living with him, also sister Cynthia and 9 mo unnamed son who I assumed was hers as Joseph never married. I can find no Civil War burial records for him.
