Man Kills Brother IN Quarrel Over Merits of Automobile.
ERIE, Ill. --Harry Stage, 29, was shot fatally Wednesday night in what Whiteside County Sheriff J.H. Hamilton said was a quarrel between brothers over the merits of an automobile.
Ted Zoberz, Erie village marshall, seized Stage's brother, H. Ross Stage, 22, in the yard of Harry's trailer home, the sheriff reported. The marshal turned over a shotgun he said the younger Stage had in his hands.
Harry died in a hospital at Morrison of a shotgun wound in the chest.
Erie is about 20 miles North of East Moline.
