Hello Linda,

I can confirm that it wasn't Mercy (http://www.mercyiowacity.org/Mercy-History) or St. Lukes, "Resuming the practice of medicine and surgery, Dr. Allen has since confined his attention almost exclusively to his professional duties and in 1895 founded St. Luke's Hospital..." (https://archive.org/details/cu31924028914384).

I did also search for an obit for Mr. Harrison Dixon, and came up short.

I will do a little more research and get back to you.
