The second Caspar and Amelia were my great-great-grandparents. I just reviewed some research done by the Davenport Public Library on my behalf regarding Amelia, including a newspaper obituary.

I was told as a child that Caspar had been married twice, and that was quite a scandal in our family, but the surviving great-granddaughter, my aunt, passed away just three weeks ago, so I have nobody else to ask in my immediate family.

I was at first confused between Caspar and his father (Caspar) and mother (Margaretha), and who I believe to be his brother "Just".

"Just" had a daughter Emilie while Caspar the elder had a daughter named Amelia (my relative), and there is a reference to "(Clara)" near Amelia at one point, though Clara (my great-grandmother) was their daughter.

I'm about to initiate further research into Caspar the younger, who was known to my mother. I and one of my cousins have a few of Caspar's creations / possessions.

At the moment, however, I have nothing more on Caspar the younger's first wife.
