Funeral services for Elsie D. Schult, 91, Tipton, were held July 8, 1989 at Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Pallbearers were grandsons, Gary Schult, Joel and Jon Schult, Dennis, David, Mark and Loran Jacobsen, Ronald, Rick and Randy Ehlers. Honorary pallbearer was Hans Schult. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mrs. Schult died July 5 at Cedar Manor Nursing home in Tipton.

The daughter of Henry and Frieda Lendt Heuer, she was born March 3, 1898 in Scott county. She married Henry Schult in 1918 in Davenport. He died in 1965. The couple farmed in the New Liberty and Plainview area for 37 years.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church in Davenport and the German-American Pioneer Society. Memorials may be made to the church or Cedar Manor.

Mrs. Schult is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Gladys) Jacobsen, Goose Lake and Mrs. Kenneth (Maxine) Ehlers, Tipton; 3 sons, Christ, Durant; Raymond, Liscomb and Lawrence, Eldridge; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Evelyn) Kahler, Davenport and a brother, Louis Heuer, Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.
