Davenport, Ia., Feb. 7. – AP – Aldrich G. Pavlovic, 23, foreman in the Monocoupe Aircraft factory at Moline, Ill., was instantly killed and Don Miller, proprietor of a mink ranch near Davenport, was seriously injured when their monoplane crashed while making a forced landing near Walcott, Ia., late FridayReturning from a trip to Ames and Des Moines, Pavlovic was piloting the ship toward Davenport. Their oil supply became low and a sleet storm was encountered, causing Pavlovic to seek a suitable field for landing. Pavlovic was crushed against the motor and his skull fractured. Miller with a broken leg, was able to crawl out of the wreckage and collapsed as farmers approached the spot.
