Greetings,
I am trying to obtain history on a cemetery that was located east and south of Odebolt approximately during 1850-1870's. When the railroad came through Odebolt, there was a cemetery located here (east and south with approximately 15-30 identified bodies). The bodies had to be removed for the construction of the railroad and reburied in the new cemetery located in Odebolt which was newly incorporated (1877). One of our relatives, Clinton Farrell, was one of those bodies and was reburied in the Odebolt Cemetery. I don't know at this old site if there was a church as well with a cemetery along side as they often did, or if the cemetery stood alone. Would you be able to help us? We are not able to find any information and we don't want this piece of history lost. Besides the Odebolt Cemetery Committee and myself, we are the only ones that are aware of this. Thank you very much! Jerilyn & Kenny Ekstrom 712-668-4828
