WILDMAN BATIE

My G-grandmother, Leticia WILDMAN died in Sac County 1899. The family history lists her death as typhoid fever. My G-grandfather, Thomas BATIE died 27 Nov 1916. Are obituaries and/or death certificates available for them. Was there a typhoid epidemic during the late 1800s-early 1900?
I would appreciate any assistance you could give me as I will be visiting the area with two other Batie cousins.
