Brenda Jean Bedier Greenland was born January 5th, 1967, in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Lloyd “Boots” and Peggy Bedier.

Brenda grew up surrounded by her two younger siblings, Jeff and Kristy, on the family farm located outside of Ellston. Brenda graduated from Grand Valley High School in 1985 and furthered her education at Northwest Missouri State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Brenda loved caring for others and found passion in working at Innovative Industries in Mount Ayr. She had a few different job titles throughout the years, but she was best known as “Mom”.

Brenda was a proud mother to Austin, Alexis, and Aubrianna. She had an everlasting love for her children and strove to put them above everything else in her life. She enjoyed attending all school events her children were involved in. Brenda was her children’s’ biggest cheerleader through all walks in life. She took great pride in being a mother and regarded it as the hardest but most rewarding job. When her children were young, Brenda loved reading to them, building snowmen in the yard, and pretending to eat whatever mud grass concoction Aubrianna and Alexis fixed for her in their outdoor play kitchen. Brenda would go to any extent to get a laugh out of her children, and was not afraid to embarrass them.

Brenda shared her contagious laugh with everyone she met and couldn’t make it out of the grocery store without running into someone she knew. She lived her life through pictures and enjoyed capturing the moment wherever possible. To see Brenda without her camera in hand was rare. She undeniably had struggles, but she did not let them infringe upon the love she had for her family.

Brenda passed away March 4, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd Bedier, aunt Darlene (Bedier) Reasoner.

Brenda is survived by her three children, Austin, Alexis, and Aubrianna Greenland; her mother Peggy Bedier; sister Kristy (Bedier) Jarred; brother Jeff Bedier; nephews Levi Jarred (Macy), Tanner Bedier, and Tyler Jarred, nieces Ashley Jarred, Alexis Bedier, and Hallie Bedier.
