LULU BAKER, CRESTON
Lulu V. Baker, 90, 425 New York Avenue, Apt. #1 died Thursday, Oct. 18, 1990, at her residence.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Kellerton. The Rev. Josua Florendo will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton. There is open visitation after 3 p.m. today with a family night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Keating-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home in Creston.
Memorial may be directed to Green Valley Hospice.
Mrs. Baker was born Oct. 16, 1900 in Ringgold County to Lance E. and Nellie G. (Bear) Maggard. She married Truman V. Baker, Sr. on Aug. 3, 1919 in Beaconsfield and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1958. She lived in Kellerton until moving to Creston in 1959. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kellerton, Royal Rebekah Lodge in Kellerton where she serve as Past Noble Grand in 1937 and Creston's Womens Club.
Survivors include two daughters Arlyne (Mrs. Rex) Hampton and Roberta (Mrs. Bernard) Chapman of Aitkin, Minn.; a son Truman (wife Florence) Baker, Jr. of Davie, Florida; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and four brothers.
