OBITUARY - ROBERT "DEANE" MATHANY

R. Deane MATHANY was born May 7, 1930 at home on a farm near Beaconsfield, Iowa to Francis and Lula (ELLISON) MATHANY. He passed away on April 4, 1999 at the age of 68 years.

Deane grew up near Beaconsfield and graduated from high school. He was a farmer and lived most all of his life inthe Beaconsfield area.

Deane was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children: Robert MATHANY of Indianola, IA. Kristi HIEMSTRA & husband Dennis of Des Moines, IA, Jan RISEN & husband Bradley of Des Moines, IA, and Eric MATHANY of Mount Ayr, IA, 2 grandchildren Wes MATHANY and Matthew HIEMSTRA, 10 brothers and sisters: Doris DAILEY of Bayard, IA, Myrna LAIRD of Spencer, IA, Meryln MATHANY of Carlisle, IA, Jerry MATHANY of Beaconsfield, IA, Loretta KELLY of Afton, IA, Dave MATHANY of Indianola, IA, Lenora NEWTON of Ankeny, IA, Sue MONTUFAR of Des Moines, IA, Richard MATHANY of Dedham, IA, and Donna HINDERKS of Mason City, IA.

Graveside services were held at Oliver Cemetery, Kellerton, Iowa, on Friday, April 9, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Wendi GILLAN of Beaconsfield Methodist Church officiating. Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr was in charge of arrangements.
