OBITUARY - JOHN J. KYLE
A former well known Fairfield resident passed away Sunday morning at his son's home in Tingley, Iowa. He is John J. KYLE, 80, who moved to Tingley from Fairfield about four months ago.
The body will be brought to Fairfield for burial. The services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m.at the Westoff Behner funeral home with Dr. C. R. DOUGLASS in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Members of the Perlee I.O.O.F. lodge will conduct graveside services.
John J. KYLE was born Dec. 15, 1867, in Keokuk (sic, should be Washington) County, Iowa, the son of the late George and Janet KYLE. He was united in marriage to Sylvia V. FRAZEY who preceded him in death.
Mr. KYLE was a former Jefferson county merchant and farmer. After farming for several years, he was connected with the Perlee store as part-owner for 30 (sic, should be 25) years. He retired in 1938 and move (sic) to Fairfield.
Mr. KYLE was a member of the Antioch church northeast of Fairfield, and Perlee Lodge No. 317, I.O.O.F.
He lived in Fairfield until four months ago when he moved to Tingley with his son, E. H. KYLE, and family. Ellery KYLE, his son, is cashier at the bank in Tingley. He was formerly employed at the First National Bank in Fairfield.
Mr. KYLE is survived by the following children: Winona G. KYLE, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. W. R. INGERSOLL, Blue Island, Illinois; E. H. KYLE, Tingley, Iowa; Irma M. KYLE, Omaha, Nebraska; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Janet MILLER, Fairfield.
