OBITUARY.

Parks Merideth ELLISON, son of Emma Sedila WATSON and John W. ELLISON, was born April 22, 1883, in Okie, Calhoun County, West Virginia, and died October 5, 1959, in his home in Beaconsfield. He was one of a family of seven children.

In 1907, the family moved to Missouri, and a year later in 1908, removed to Ringgold county and setted near Beaconsfield.

On January 2, 1909, he was united in marriage with Grace Leona THOMPSON, of Mount Ayr and to this union were born six daughters - Lula BLAUER, of Beaconsfield, Edna DOSON, of Winterset, Pauline LEWIS, of Golden, Colo., Merle SOUTH, of Shannon City and Audrey ROWE, of Wellman, and three sons, Stewart ELLISON, of Mount Ayr, Wayne ELLISON, of Roswell, N.M. and Cecil ELLISON, of Fort Riley, Kan.

Mr. ELLISON spent the greater part of his life in farming and raising large gardens, as it was his greatest joy. He enjoyed playing checkers and loved all children. He was a strict parent and taught his childrn to live by the Golden Rule.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, on May 8, 1958,his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Left to mourn his passing are his children; thirty grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother, A. S. ELLISON and a sister, Bessie HOWE. Funeral services iwll be held this (Thusday) afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the Methodist church in Beaconsfield, conducted by the Rev. Richard HOHL. Interment will be in the Oliver Cemetery.
