OBITUARY

Margaret Ellen, daughter of Caleb and Nellie MARTIN, was born in Michigan, July 26th, 1843, and died at her home near Beaconsfield, Iowa, July 28th, 1917, aged 74 yrs and 2 days. She was married to Aaron W. MATHANY in Jackson county, Iowa, May 26th, 1858, having been married at the time of her death 59 years. To this union were born four children, all of whom are living except Mrs. Ella FENDER, who died three years ago last March. The children who are left to mourn with the father the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother are: Mrs. Ida DADY, Kellerton, Iowa, Mrs. Elora SHORT, Guthrie, Okla., Ernest C. MATHANY, Beaconsfield, Iowa and besides the children there are twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.

Interment Oliver Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
