Marian P. Mihalovich Lesac, 85, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 from complications due to Alzheimer's, at Trinity Center Luther Park, where she resided. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Park Chapel. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Marian was born on October 25, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa the last of seven children of John and Veronica Mihalovich. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. In 1948 she was united in marriage to James E. Lesac, who preceded her in death on April 26, 2009.
Marian was a life-long active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Society and the Croatian Fraternal Union of American Lodge #64.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Lesac; brothers, John, Frank and Tony Mihalovich; sisters, Bessie Perisin, Anne C. Mihalovich and Nina Rasky; nephews, Joseph Perisin, John Mihalovich, II and Steven Mihalovich. She is survived by two nieces, Barbara Mihalovich Bubon and Marilyn Mihalovich McIntyre; three nephews, Raymond Perisin, James Perisin and Bernie Mihalovich. Many cousins, great nieces and great nephews survive her but she has two great nephews she considered her boys: Jack D. Bubon, Jr. and Robert J. Bubon.
Marian entered eternity as she lived, devoted to her faith and being the kindest, sweetest, very caring and most generous person. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
