Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lambert celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home in Greenwood Park, Mr. Lambert came here in September, 1868 and started the first green house in Des Moines at the corner of Second and Schools Streets. Mr. Lambert has been superintendent of Greenwood Park for several years. He gets his love of flowers naturally as it seems to be a family trait. His cousin, Peter Lambert of Germany, is one of the leading noted horticulturalist in Europe. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert were married at Summerville, Lee County, December 18, 1859. They have seven children, six sons and a daughter.
