Worrell dies at Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS - Leonard A. Worrell, 74, Cedar Falls, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday afternoon at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls following an extended illness.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home at Cedar Falls with burial at 2 p.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery at Fairfield.

Worrell was born Nov. 16, 1912 in Clarinda, the son of Lawrence and Effie Wolcott Worrell. He married Anna M. Rowley Dec. 3, 1941 in Louisiana. She died April 8, 1980. He served in the Army during World War II, and worked for Boeing Aircraft Company in Derby, Kan., retiring in 1969.

Surviving are three sisters, Berniece Fanning, Waverly; Alice McNulty, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Martha Sheville, Des Moines. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
