Mrs. Oral Kreiger Buried at Griswold
Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Wolfe funeral home for Mrs. Oral Kreiger, 39, who died Tuesday of last week at the Douglas County hospital in Omaha. The Rev. W. S. Bowden was in charge of the services, assisted by Mrs. Bertha Peters. Mrs. Kreiger was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Wheelock and was born April 7, 1902, east of Grant in Adams County. She was 5 years of age when her parents moved to Griswold where she attended school. The Wheelocks moved to Villisca in 1915. The deceased married Ora Yarrington on April 25, 1918. Two children were born to them, Eldon LaVerne and Ardola Eloise, the latter of whom died in 1926. Mrs. Yarrington married Ralph V. Kreiger on November 25, 1925, and they lived in Villisca with the exception of two years spent in Shenandoah and a year recently in Omaha. In addition to her husband, parents and son, the deceased is survived by two aunts, Mrs. L. A. Campbell and Mrs. Mary Umphress, both of Villisca, and four cousins. In 1915 she was baptized and united with the Christian church of Griswold, and in 1938 she joined the Advent Christian Church in Villisca. She was buried in the Griswold Cemetery.
