Leonard Gell funeral Saturday
Leonard T. Gell, 72, of Northboro, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at his home. He was the Postmaster at Northboro for 23 years before his retirement.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Lodge No. 405 AF & AM of the Northboro United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 am with Rev. Mark officiating.
Interment will be in the Union Grove cemetery. A memorial is being established.
The family will receive visitors this Friday from 7:30 - 8:30 pm at the Hackett Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Letha (Spencer) Gell, his step-father Ed Swander and a sister Ina Black.
He is survived by his wife Velma L. (Perry) Gell of the home, three sons, Leonard R. (Robert) of Everett, Wa., Darrell of Fenton, Mo., and Gerald of Lenexa, Ks; one daughter Mrs. Lowell (Joyce) Lauman of Coin; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Georgia Lair of College Springs and Blanch Black of Atlanta, Mo.
