Mrs. Jacob Widmann* died at the home of her son Wm. Widman of Wilson Township, Wednesday evening, February 24, at eleven o'clock at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 4 days. Death was due to heart failure and old age. She had been sick for three days although had suffered from heart trouble at intervals for the last ten years.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Bigelow M.E. Church, Rev. W.R. Coates preaching the sermon. The remains were interred in the Wilson Cemetery.

Mrs. Maria B. Haag was born at Wurtenburg, Germany, March 20, 1834. She removed to Cedar Lake, Wisconsin in 1852 and was married to Jacob Widmann in 1854. Eight years later they removed to West Bend, Wisconsin and in 1874 they removed to Osceola County.

Eight children survive the deceased. They are: Mrs. Will E. Tackaberry of Sioux City; Mrs. R.D. Riersdorf, Windom, Minn.; Mrs. Rev. J.W. Wienands of Luverne, Iowa; Jacob Widmann, of Spring Brook, North Dakota, John Widman of Woodstock, Minn.; Chris Widmann, Pillager, Minn.; Geo and Wm. Widmann of Wilson Township.

The deceased was a consistent member of the M.E. Church and was highly respected by all who knew her.
