Lee Timmons Family

Lee (Edward Lee) Timmons married Hazel Viola Hensch December 27, 1916, and they lived on a farm southwest of Harris, in Allison Township, all their lives.

Lee Timmons was born in Melvin, Illinois, September 5, 1893, and moved with his family to a farm north of Ocheyedan, in 1900, when he was eight years of age. In 1908, the family moved to a farm two miles south and three miles west of Harris.

Hazel Hensch Timmons was born in Cherokee County in 1893. After she and Lee were married they lived on the Timmons farm and spent their entire married life there.

Hazel died January 9, 1977, and Lee continued to live on the farm until 1984, when he entered the Lake Park Care Center. He died December 10, 1987. Lee and Hazel are buried in the Ocheyedan Cemetery.

Their children are: Merlin Lee, Dorothy Alene, Marvin Dale and Margaret Eloise (Goodell).
