Oscar & Mabel Thompson Family

Oscar’s father, Peter Thompson, came to the United States in 1904, from Denmark. He homesteaded in different parts of the country until 1916, when he came to Every, Iowa, and married Anna Clemmensen. Three children were born to them; twins, Oscar and Elmer, and a daughter, Frances.

In 1939, they moved to a farm south of Harris. Pete passed away in 1958, and Oscar and Elmer continued farming.

Oscar married Mabel (O’Connor) Davis in 1956. He continued farming until 1971, when he had to quit because of poor health. He kept dealing in horses until he passed away in 1982. Mabel is still living in Harris.

Elmer died in 1962, Frances is married to Myron McNiel and lives at Rochester, Minnesota.
