My great grandfather was living in Ida County on the 1900 census and Monona Coounty, Cooper Twp, IA on the 1910 census. His name was Claus H. Heesch, wife Anna, and sons Peter, Claus, John, Henry and Charlie and daughter Marie. Claus' mother Anna lived with them until she died in 1909. I think she is buried in Mapleton.
Another daughter, Anna, had married Charles Ernst about 1908.
Claus' sister Maria married Claus Krohnke and lived in Crawford COunty.
I need to find out which county the children were born in so I can order birth certificates. Any other info would be appreciated.
