J.T. Huffman was shot in Mapleton, Iowa. My grandfather helped bury him {his father}. I cannot find anything about this. Maybe the wife,nee Anna Belle Hicks, just said he was missing. I think this happened 1882 in May. All kinds of events are listed in the old press, why not this? She was pregnant at the time and then married Willis Cook.
