Margaret Ver Steegh, 93, of New Sharon, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Grinnell Regional Health Center in Grinnell. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at New Sharon Assembly of God Church in New Sharon, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery there.
Mrs. Ver Steegh had lived in the new Sharon area all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Helping Hands Circle. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by a son, Norman, and a daughter, Lavoe DeJong, both of New Sharon; four half sisters, Marjorie McGriff, Ruth Gable, Ruth Fleener and Maxine Dunlap, all of Oskaloosa; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison.
Hardin Funeral Home in New Sharon is handling arrangement
