Steven L. Klein (1952-1997)

Steven Lee Klein, the son of Brand "Sonny" and Ione Kirby Klein, was born Monday, December 29, 1952 at Oskaloosa. Steve was baptized at the Central Reformed Church. In 1971, he graduated from the Oskaloosa High School; and served in the United States Army from July 1972 to July of 1975. Steve was a truck driver and mechanic, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1990 and drove truck for Budget Towing of Phoenix.
On Thursday evening, October 16, 1997, Steve died at the Maricopa County Medical Center in Phoenix of injuries suffered in an automobile-motorcycle accident which happened early Wednesday, October 15th, at the age of 44 years, 9 months, and 18 days.
He is survived by a son, Benjamin Klein of Oskaloosa, a daughter: Sheila Klein, Oskaloosa; his parents: "Sonny" and Ione Klein, Oskaloosa, and a brother: Allen Klein of Oskaloosa.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lucille and Marvin Kirby, Sr., and Jake and Della Klein.
Funeral service for Steven Lee Klein in the Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa, Iowa on Tuesday, October 21, 1997 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Don DeGlopper presiding. Interment was held at Forest Cemetery, Garden of Benediction, Oskaloosa Iowa. (from Steven's funeral card)
