WILLIAM E. WOODY

William Elton Woody, 60, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Winterset, died of cancer Tuesday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McClaren’s Resthaven Funeral Chapel, and burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Woody was born in Winterset and was a World War II veteran. He was chief chemist for Lone Star Industries.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice; three daughters, Mary Alice of Madison, Wis., Nancy Russell of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nina Elizabeth of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McClaren’s Resthaven Funeral Home.
