Harold S. Loose, 94, of Winterset, died May 28, 1994 at the Winterset Care Center North of a respiratory ailment. Funeral services were June 1, 1994 at the Fisher Funeral Home in Adel. Burial was at the Waukee Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 9, 1899 in Des Moines to Walter and Blanche Loose. He married Nellie Irene Vernon in Des Moines on Dec. 24, 1922. He was a salesman and had lived most of his life in the Waukee area. He was a member of the Waukee Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one daughter; one brother; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, Verna Verlee Kent and husband Roderick of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
