Lela H. Frederick, 105, of Earlham, died Aug. 5, 1994 at the Earlham Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Aug, 8, 1994 at the Church of Christ in Earlham with the Rev. Ted Morelock officiating. Burial was at the DeSoto Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 16, 1889 in DeSoto to Samuel Edward and Rebecca Mae (McKellips) Ellston. She married John Frederick on Feb. 24, 1914. She was a housewife, farmer, and a member of the Earlham Church of Christ. She had lived most of her life in the Earlham area.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother; one sister; one son; and one son-in-law.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, Esther Grimes of Earlham; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
