Obituaries – MRS. EDNA MAE SMITH
Services for Mrs. Edna Mae Smith, 75, of 1341 Sixth Ave. will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Grace Baptist Church, with burial in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter. Mrs. Smith died of cancer Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center after an illness of two months.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Dallas County and lived in Macksburg before moving to Des Moines in 1961. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harry S.; three sons, Willard A. of Miami, Fla., Harold E. of Lancaster, Calif., and James A. of Bluffton, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Louise Anderson of Beckley, W. Va., and Mrs. Ruth Ann Phearman of Los Gatos, Calif.; a brother, Willard C. Sutherland St. Petersburg, Fla.; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Grandview Funeral Home. The family suggests Memorial contributions to the Child Evangelism Fellowship.
