Gage was born in Lakeland, Florida to his Mom, Katie Bishop. He lived there until April 2004, when he came to live with his Grandparents, Jeff and Teresa Messenger in St Charles, Iowa.

Gage grew up loving his family, enjoyed building Legos, reading books, and enjoyed outdoor activities. Riding and caring for horses at Wildwood Hills Ranch and other places became very special to him. Gage had the good fortune of having a very best friend, Sam Lawyer, since Kindergarten. We are grateful and thankful for their friendship. Gage graduated from Interstate 35 schools in 2021. After High School, he became gainfully employed by Fareway in Indianola, IA, in the meat dept. He excelled in his job and liked to see and chat with his customers.

Gage left us way too soon. He is loved dearly and deeply missed by all of his family and friends.

Those left to treasure his memory are his Mom, Katie, brothers Phillip, Jonathan, Shane, Ethan and sister, Belle. Grandparents Jeff & Teresa Messenger and the late Don & Christine Bishop, Sam Lawyer and his family, plus many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and friends.

Gage was laid to rest during a private graveside service at Mount Tabor Cemetery, New Virginia, IA

Family and Friends will host A Celebration of Life for Gage on February 8th, 2025 at 2pm at The Lions Hall in St Charles.
