BOONEVILLE, IA - John R. “Jack” Moore, 64, of Booneville died of a respiratory ailment Feb. 13 in Queens, N.Y. A memorial service and burial of the cremains will be graveside at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Van Meter Cemetery.

Mr. Moore was born in Winterset and lived in Booneville most of his life. He retired as an engineer for S and S Corrugated Box Manufacturing Co. in Des Moines and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a sister, Helen Collins of Waseca, Minn.; and a brother, Rex of Booneville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Van Meter Public Library. Fisher’s funeral home in Van Meter is handling arrangements.
