Carroll Wallace Christensen, 71, of 3305 South Union St. died of a heart attack Saturday at Integrated Health Services of Iowa. No service is planned. Burial of the cremains will be in Boonville Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Christensen was born in Madison County and had lived in Des Moines since 1949. He had been a labor analyst with Deere and Co. and was a Navy veteran and past president of Eagles Lodge.

Among survivors are his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Stephen of Des Moines and Larry of Peoria, Ariz.; his stepson, Chris Nichols of Des Moines; two daughters, Deborah Grover Lakeworth, Fla., and Sheryl Parker of Des Moines; three brothers, Clair of Peoria, Ariz., Wilbur of Fontanelle and Ivan of Forsythe, Mo.; a sister, Helen McKnight of Osceola; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home.
