Your inquiry was to locate an obituary for Bertha Jane (McAninich) Anderson who died in Doon on June 8, 2005. This obituary is for Bertha (Tiedemann) Anderson who died in Doon on June 9, 2005.

I did locate a Bertha J (McAninch) Anderson
Birth: March 16, 1912 in Haswell, Kiowa County, Colorado
Died: March 3, 1977 in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa

May 14, 1912 --- June 9, 2005

Bertha Anderson, 93, Doon, died Thursday, June 9, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley. Services were Monday, June 13, at United Methodist Church in Doon. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Bertha Anderson, daughter of John and Emma (Lutjens) Tiedemann, was born May 14, 1912, in Hull. She married Ivan Anderson on February 1, 1938, in Hull. They lived in Doon, where she worked as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office for many years. Mr. Anderson died July 5, 1976. She moved to Valley Manor Nursing Home in December 1996. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

Survivors include two sons, Don and Doris Anderson of Bonesteel, South Dakota, and Jon and Donna Anderson of Doon; three daughters, Marilyn and Wendell De Jong of Sheldon, Marlene Tricoli of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Linda and Loyal Siebrands of Doon; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; two sisters Lorie Thompson of Rock Rapids, and Dorothy McCormick of Rock Rapids; a brother-in-law, W.C. “Speck” and Barb Anderson of Rock Valley; and five sisters-in-law, Dorothy Anderson of Hawarden, Martha Anderson of Doon, Lorrine Tiedemann of George, Margaret Tiedemann of Sheldon and Luella Strampe of Paullina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; a son-in-law, Jim Tricoli; a granddaughter, Julie Anderson; and four brothers, Ben Tiedemann, Walter Tiedemann, Fred Tiedemann and Hubert Tiedemann.
